Deepika Padukone has been nominated as Best Asian actress for her scintillating performance in the Om Shanti Om at the second Asian Film Awards.

Padukone has grabbed the eye ball with her performance in the bollywood hit, will vie with John Chen of China, Kirin Kiki Of Tokyo and Tan Wei of Hong Kong for the Top Award. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on March 17.

Om Shanti Om is based on the theme of reincarnation in which the protagonist attempts the mystery of his Dismse and finds Shanti, the love of her previous life.
